It had been days, weeks even since the last time Faye saw Emery. Both of their birthdays passed and nothing, granted Faye was pissed at her friend. She was upset because she missed the Abrams girl. She was frustrated because she couldn’t get a good night’s sleep without Emery. So she sat up staring at the things she bought, presents, most nights. It’s what she was doing at that moment too, as she willed them to magically appear in front of the girl, her girl. A chuckle passed her lips as she grabbed the items knowing that the only way they’d make it to Emery was if she delivered them. Locking the door, Faye made her way to the car and drove the twenty minute drive to the Abrams. Once the car stopped, she got out of the car, walked to the door and knocked.
